Long head: infraglenoid tubercle of scapula.

Insertion

Posterior surface of the olcranion process of the ulna.

Action

Extends elbow.

Innervation – Nerve control

Innervation Route: C6, C7, C8, T1 → radial nerve → triceps brachii

Artery

Branches of deep brachial artery.

The brachial artery is also known as the Profunda brachii artery. The brachial artery is the major blood vessel of the (upper) arm.

Antagonist muscles

Antagonists: Deltoid (anterior part), Coracobrachialis, Biceps Brachii, Pectoralis Major (clavicular head); Supraspinatus, Deltoid (middle part); Brachialis, Biceps brachii, Brachioradialis.
